Drake's Easter Basket

Easter has always been a huge deal in my family. My Dad's side of the family (+ extended family + friends) gets together every year to celebrate. It's about 100 people and there is tons of food, a group photo, an Easter egg hunt for kids and an Easter egg hunt for adults, which includes eggs with money hidden inside. It's something that we look forward to every year, especially now that Drake is here. Obviously given everything that's going on with coronavirus the gathering has been cancelled. We are pretty bummed, but that won't stop us from celebrating with a little egg hunt for Drake and of course an Easter basket.

I loved putting together his first Easter basket last year. It was so fun to find little toys and books that he would like and I found a super cute "my first Easter outfit" that I put in and he wore to the family celebration.

I was intentional about getting him a small Easter basket. I don't want the holiday to be about him or gifts and it keeps me from getting crazy! Pottery Barn has the cutest basket liners. We have the navy large scale gingham in small and I bought his basket from Michael's.

I kept it simple this year with some of his favorite snacks, an interactive toy, a Beautycounter favorite and a few fun items. I ordered everything online and it all arrived very quickly. These items are very gender neutral and could cover a wide spread in age with a few simple swaps.

I hope everyone is staying home and staying safe and I hope you will still find ways to celebrate Easter with your family and spend some time reflecting on the holiday.
